David, 12, lives the typical life of a kid in Tijuana. Goes to school, plays soccer with friends, and spends his weekends at the beach. One day, his mom sets him aside and tells him that they're moving to Los Angeles without his dad. Clearly upset, he spends his last few moments home in a daze. While on their way to Los Angeles, he escapes and runs to the place that reminds him most of home - the beach.
